Siang Bridge

Project Overview

Bridge is located over majestic Siang river in Arunachal Pradesh. It is an exceptionally long span with a single span of 162 m over the deep gorge of the Siang river. Abutments are composed of multiple boxes filled with boulders to act as counterweight to the cantilever arm projecting from abutment supports.

Construction

Bridge was constructed using form travelers from both ends casting segments of 3m each.

Significance

Curved cantilever profile over mighty river and among the virgin jungles of Arunachal creates a mesmerizing view.
