Project Overview

Parwan Bridge is constructed on Parwan river just outside Aklera town in Jhalawar District of Rajasthan. The bridge is 412.5 m long with each span of 41.25 m. Superstructure is twin cell PSC segmental type with deck width of 16 m.

Construction

Bridge was constructed using overhead gantry which traversed on the river bed. For this purpose, Gantry with lifting height of 25 m was used. Bridge has open foundation owing to hard rock strata of the river bed.

Significance

Parwan Bridge is a critical link between Aklera and Chhipa Barod towns providing all weather link which was not existent before the construction of bridge.
