Bridge is located over Tanalung Nallah on Damchu Chukha realignment section of Thimpu Phuentsholing Highway. Construction of the bridge was both a technical as well as logistical challenge owing to new alignment of the project. Both the ends of bridge were not accessible owing to deep gorge and therefore, a suspended footbridge of 140 m was constructed for movement of team and materials from accessible end to the far end. Once the footbridge was in place, construction on the main structure could start.
Structure consisted of a single span of 145m (PSC Cantilever). Abutments consisted of multiple boxes with cantilevers projecting outwards and meeting in the centre.
